aa sorry for the late artist comment ;v;so yea this is the grown up version of my previous 2 ocs. the demon oc basically went through an evolution period bahahahahaha (6v9)
im also still practicing this sort of coloring style, but i think im going to take a break and go for the less consuming time kind of coloring instead next time. my free time is forever scarced now orz
oh and i wont be replying to messages till monday. im using ipad to type right now and it gets irritating at times ;;;;

If you don't mind, may I ask you what and how you learned to draw and color like this? I know that practice, practice and more practice is the key to becoming better, but some directions as to what I should look at might be nice. I know this is probably a hard question to answer, sorry

well regarding questions like this, you can go to my faq!
but basically what i do is that i observe a lot. maybe, narrowing first the type of coloring you want to achieve might help too? there's the painting style, the hard-cell style, well i don't really know about the names hahah +v+
and then from there, what i usually do is that i look up for references that has those styles (or similar styles) and try to understand how they shade it and everything. you can start by trying to learn an artist that you really look up to and has the coloring style that you're trying to achieve, but i wouldn't really recommend to only focus on one artist since you might just end up copying the whole artist's style, which as far as i know, is not a good idea for both parties ;;;
instead, try to look up to several artists and mix and mesh some part of their styles to create your own in the future
and what else... oh try to decide what program you're going to use to draw. in my case i use sai and photoshop for touch ups. try to understand first how all the tools work. this require constant experimenting
im not very good when it comes to tutorials, but for photoshop i usually go to this site called crunchyroll.com and they usually have all these photoshop groups that sometime give out tutorials. or not, just simply browse google and youtube. they have tons of PS tutorials
for SAI, i dont really use that much of tutorials since mostly i just experiment myself, but some tutorials that i use can be found in DA. you can try to type things such as 'painting SAI paint tool tutorial' in the search engine or 'soft CG sai paint tool tutorial' or so on. or simply join SAI/PS groups that provide tutorials.
