when you say "play aroud with the colors" you mean the setting and curves and stuff, right?

I meant as in, because the colour you choose wont look the same as it does with shading, just pick colours that kinda suit your shading I guess... Sorry, this tutorial is old so I can't really say much

Do you have any idea what the layer style would be on GIMP? The styles that might make sense are Soft Light, Hard Light, Multiply, Divide, Screen, Overlay, Dodge, Burn, Grain Merge, and Grain Extract. Any of those sound right? If not, what Photoshop is this on? Elements or CS5? I have Elements and I might be getting CS5 soon so maybe I could try on there. Thanks! -t-swizzle

Hmm, I'm not sure on Gimp as I don't use that program. But if you have those layer styles on Gimp, they must be correct. (if that is what you are asking) There are the same ones on photoshop. Just play around with them and I'm sure you'll get it looking right

I use Photoshop CS2 for most of my art. However, photoshop elements is almost the same.

Okay thanks! I'll play around for a bit and if I can't get it right I'll use Elements. Thanks for your help and great tutorial!
