He was disappointed that the zoo had no red pandas, so I got him a tiger cub instead 
I was not expecting a lot from this trip, but i got the surprise of my life!
This the youngest tiger cub i have ever seen in person, and i have seen some youngsters before.He was the only one to survive from the litter, and mothers usually don't take care of just one cub. He already has a home booked for him in the states. Once he is old enough, he will be sent for the breeding program.

They don't take the cub's out for viewing in our zoos so I'm kinda jealous now

That was his first day out. Even the presenter was surprised. I think they took him out because he is a hand raised cub. Most zoos prefer not to interfere but in this case they had to. He will also be moving a lot when he is older so they want him to be used to human smell and noise.

In the case of my cub, it was because the mother had not enough milk that two of the five (!) cubs are being hand fed. Hence I could see them. It's from a mixed orange/white litter btw, there were three orange and two white cubs.
