Pictures like these warm the heart and make me wish that the American plains could have the Cheetah reintroduced to them. There is a species called the American Cheetah which went extinct, but if we could possibly set aside a huge tract of land in the Great Plains for them as an American Serengeti National Park, the Cheetah could be completely safeguarded by importing gazelles and antelopes for them to prey on without any bigger predators killing them. The Lion is a beautiful animal, but terrible: it has been factually proven that the Lion will hunt the Cheetah, finding and killing Cheetah cubs for no reason at all except to kill them. They do not eat them. They simply kill them and leave the body there. The Cheetah will never be safe unless we can introduce it to the wilderness in a continent without such a large rival attempting to exterminate it.
