Description
A female Western Great Horned Owl from the Kortright Center.She and 3 other birds (a kestrel and 2 peregrine falcons) were at the Photo and Digital Imaging EXPO for everyone to photograph.
This is probably my best shot of the owl. I have some more, but I'm sorting.

She was very grumpy. She often nipped at the handler when he tried to fix her ties on the stand (they kept coming undone).
But grumpy owls always look so cool

I think they chose a perfect background for these birds. Its was a beautiful fall tapestry and depending on the angle you could get all kinds of colors.
