Description
We found a very tiny Garter Snake while hiking and fishing at one of our favorite spots. We were just talking about how it would be great to see a snake again and then i heard some rustling and saw the tiny guy in the leaves. This was actually the second smallest one I've seen. The tiniest one we've ever found was at most five inches long and was narrow enough to fit through a drinking straw! This guy was much thicker.I used my Sigma Macro Lens for this shot.

Yeah the composition was a bit tricky in post processing. I'll see if I can experiment and rework it^^ I'm glad you like the action!

That's because it's really hard to do! It was a great shot, if you trim a little green off the left it will bring more focus onto your subject.

soo cute *^* I only saw a snake once while hiking, and it was dead TT^TT

We see a snake almost every hike at this particular spot, though we don't always get a very close look. I had 1 crawl right over my foot once. Thank goodness our only venomous snake is not in that area.
