Description Digital painting I did in Art History using the tablet. I was studying the Mayan culture at the time. The photo I based this off of came from a wallpaper website, I cant find it though. If I come across it i'll post a link.

This is amazing! Love the realistic texture of her skin, and you always do a smashing job of the eyes.

Thanks I love the tablet/photoshop, its nice being able to undo. But yeah my digital art teacher learned me good lol. He taught us how to paint with the brush by literally borrowing from the originals skin texture. Kind of seems like cheating but its much quicker, and when you are doing work for graphic design you need to be able to get stuff done ridiculously quick sometimes. I only had one week to do this during finals. Way to many overnighters
But thanks for getting me to upload stuff, I've been lazy on getting stuff up lately.

Well good. Glad I could help! It's not cheating when it's your job to produce something believable and quickly-so. It's very smart what he taught you
So what kind of graphic design career are you looking into specifically? Or do you know yet, lol

Thats true, its just different than what I'm used to. I have no clue. The amount of possible things I can do with graphic design is so broad, but in a perfect world I would design skateboards, snowboards, stickers, wine bottles, business cards, and book covers. What about you?

In a perfect world, I'd be doing concept art, character design, general 3D modeling, and branch out into clay modeling, traditional painting, and making replicas as well. My ultimate goal is to work for WETA workshop in New Zealand, but that's a long ways off, lol.

Thats awesome, my friend Brittany is doing the same stuff for school. She loves clay modeling and character design. I think that if the whole graphic design thing ends up not being my thing, I'm going to go back to school and try all that goodness.

I'm not even in school yet and trying out clay modeling has been super, duper fun. You definitely should. Even if you didn't make a career of it
