1) When else did Dragon Riders not come for someone's aid, if this particular person got lured into trap — with the dragon! — because of their stupidity?
2) Why didn't Riders came back either for dragon, who given being a Gronkle is immutable for those arrows and so it's still alive anyway, or for Dagur's body in order to burn it?
3) The Skrill was in opening, but there still was no sign of one in this season of series yet. And I highly doubt that it has something to do with Heather.

4) Come on, there's a telling about berserker, who held bridge against army ON HIS OWN. And in order to actually pass the bridge army had to strike that man with the spear FROM UNDER the bridge, so he won't know and won't dodge!
5) Maybe what happened behind the fog and smoke is just censured.
You know, Gobber told that berserkers still may be able to go… well, berserk. And Dagur for some reason even among berserkers got title 'Deranged'.

Maybe I just see something that just isn't there, but with Dagur and Heather there are eight Dragon's Edge Riders (Hiccup, Astrid, Snotlout, Ruffnut, Tuffnut, Fishlegs, Heather and Dagur) — eight Maces of Maces and Talons. And desappeared Dagur is the same eighth Mace with which Viggo actually outsmarted Dagur, when two played the same game using living soldiers (ep. "Maces and Talons, pt. 2"). So maybe Dagur is just secret mace?

It's way too stupid for Hiccup. To leave for death the only person who played with them both — Hiccup and Viggo — who knows how two think, what the two are capable of, and the very only person who made suggestion about Viggo's plan, that actually turned out to be true. Veeeeery stupid.
