My first attempt at drawing a person on MS Paint, hoping I could get better quality from using paint, over actually drawing.Related content

Try downloading Paint Tool Sai; it's free! It's complicated at first but watching tutorials and what not help SO much

I'm no where close to being a good enough artist to invest in that. Though.. my brother may already have one, I'm not really sure. Either way... I'm more of a writer. I don't think I'll really ever get all that far with drawing.. though I would certainly like to get to the point of being able to draw characters, that way I might be able to draw my own characters from books/stories I write. I still have a long way to go though...

Well any type of artist always can improve! :3 Keep working at it and you'll get to where you wanna be. Personally, I wanna be a manga artist, and obviously I have a long way to go since I'm only 16 X3

Cool! I'm sure you can get to it. Though age isn't much of an issue on that. Have you ever thought about practicing putting up little comics here on DA? To work on your art, and work on making manga type stuff while, like practicing 2 things at once.

I think people are usually better on paper drawing. Probably because of the easier strokes using hand over using a mouse, or computer pencil thing. There is so much more control using an actual pencil.
