This turned out to be a tiny drawing. Not a particular character, also if you have a guess where this is located, share it. I'll give you a hint, it's buildings that don't exist anymore.Huh...smoking indoors, this most likely takes place in the late 70s, back when that was tolerable.

Does 9/11 happen in your AU? Hate to think most of these people will die horribly twenty-two years or so after this scene takes place.

Good but sad question.
I don't think of historical and tragic events such as that happening in the AU, enough. But if religions exist, so do the differences, and bad people. I wouldn't want to present the twin towers for the sake of reminding people of that tragic day, but rather just for the historical accuracy, like what New York City was like in the 80s. I'm sure if I worked for a studio of some sort, they would very much not prefer the Twin towers to be seen for conspiracy purposes. But my fascination with them, and their short but important role in history is enough of a reason to depict them in the first place.
In the end, its up to the viewer and open for speculation.
But still a very good question, makes me think.
