Your name rolls off my lips,
Like marbles under fingertips.
It dances through my ears
Singing songs that banish fears.

Your eyes-- shining like the stars,
Have over-looked my ugly scars--
Seeing all of what I could be
Instead of saying what I should be.

You softest words sing out loud
And I'm sure Shakespeare would be proud
To know that though your words are pretty,
By no means considered petty.

Your lips are like the sweetest rosebuds,
And tingle like soft soap-suds
Against my chapped and bitten own.
With your lips for company, mine will never be alone.

But most importantly, your heart-- Golden.
Enough to make my shabby own embolden.
Though I'm not the only one to appreciate it,
It belongs to the One who Created it.
