Okay so a bit of a rant for this one.I did it for senior year ya? 17 year old me. for this stupid ass gay fucking contest. I never worked on a stupid drawing for so long in my life.
and yeah you guessed it, none of the drawings I made for the stupid contest got in.
you wanna know what won?
a colored pencil drawing that someone did in literally 5 minutes.
according to them this drawing was TOO DARK. They told me they wanted winter wonderland. I gave them that.Β
APPARENTLY digital art is too SUPERIOR for old farts. Cancer.
I've never been so salty in my life. Like still to this day I'm salty.
And because I was so mad I never posted this because I was so hurt. Same goes with the next drawing Im about to post. But whatever. Lesson learned. Dont spend an eternity on drawings cause it aint worth it.

thats actually really weird, when i heard that it was too dark from jet i thought its was like one of your like dark dark drawings but this is an amazing piece and very light esp. compared to your other work. It's night time so i dunno what they were expecting. i feel that the use of color in this one gives off a sense of magic, feels a lot like it's a part of a fairy tale so i think that it fits the theme of winter wonderland perfectly. if anything the only reason i could see this not getting in that the other pieces of art dont fit with this one but then again this was for the cover and wouldnt have been put with the other drawings so still no reason to have left it out
this wouldve been an amazing cover for the book

Dang them clouds, I want to steal them, my backgrounds still look shapeless and simple, but you managed to make clouds have what looks like purple and green in it and it still looks awesome and natural.
