Description
Recently I read a few H.P. Lovecraft's stories. I was not particularly interested in Lovecraft's work, but I knew a few things about Cthulhu myths. These stories, as well as some music I have listened to recently, inspired me to play around with the theme of ancient beings that lurk under the ocean.So, here it is - the original format is A3, everything is done in pencil.

I think its his pose that says the most, in conjuction with the title of the piece. Whilst there is definately something sinister and inhuman about him there is also asuggestion of nobility in the regal sense.

I love it! The shape and pose and screen shot- cool! I haven't seen a sea creature-being like this before! The muscles are great! The hands look so strong! The shading's fantastic. The head looks so original- iv'e come up with some sea beings before, always looking more human than alien-ish, but this is- wow. What myth's were they again? Cthulhu?

Yes, Cthulhu and the Cthulhu Mythos is probably the most famous work of H.P. Lovecraft, American horror writer.
