As in, like, "I stole the money from innocent persons?" I really dislike it when people use it out of context, too. D: A "people" is a large group of humans that are the same in cultural orientation i.e. Asian, American. Thus when people use the word "persons" it's meant to mean a specific group of people. I hate it when it's used in place of the word "people" *sigh*
