Description A fun original sketch I decided to digitally paint. This is a little different from my other pieces because I am currently trying to find a semi-realism style that I'm comfortable with and I like.

Thought I might critique this!

I really love how you made the snow stick to her clothes and how her hair has different colored strands. I also really like how glossy everything looks--that's something pretty reoccurring in your style that I really admire!
I feel like her scarf and her hair don't flow enough in the wind. The weather looks very blizzard-ish and I'm assuming that there would be lots of wind, yet her hair and scarf are very calm despite the weather. Try to keep that in mind! Also, while I'm mentioning the weather, the snow on the background is very gray--don't be afraid to make colors like white nice and bright with just about any color other than gray to shade it in with (I personally like a pastel-ish purple/blue, sometimes pink). It isn't necessarily bad to use gray, but it can look rather dull at times.

Finally, her body/jacket. Her elbows look rather circular and very bendy. Elbows tend to be very pointy, yet still curvy, but they don't curve as much as you portrayed them here (of course it is arguable that the jacket is thick enough to the prevent the elbows from "showing", but I'll get to that). Her shoulders also look a little too circular, so try to make things curvy but still fine and "pointy" (lack of a better word). For her torso, she seems to be rather "flat" if you know what I mean... it is okay to be like that, but seeing as you're looking for a semi-realism style it'd important to have a realistic sized AREA. Her buttons do not curve up and over that area, so make sure to do that as well (along with any other accessories that cross that boundary hoho). Finally, although this is just a tiny pet peeve of mine as I love detailing clothing, the sleeves of her jacket don't "puff out" enough around the cuffs. I'd recommend just simply drawing cuffs around her wrists with the desired length/width rather than a simple line as it can make things look a bit more realistic in a way. Overall, just study anatomy closely and apply it to your art. A tutorial I quite like would be Neko-Rina's tutorial here .

that's really it. i love the drawing overall and this is one of my favorites from you of many! hope to see more.
