Description This is really the only sculpture that I'm somewhat proud of out of my Figure Modeling class. Though I wish I had a little more time to getin some more details. Done in 2 classes.

Thanks! She's actually about the size of the picture, not full-sized. Maybe a foot long, and a foot tall.

Unfortunately, the kilns were down after I made her, so she was never fired, and now is full of cracks.

Your project is really good! Is she hollow? Can she be fired?

I got her pretty much hollowed out, but they were moving the kilms at the end of the semester so I couldn't get it done. Thanks for the compliment though!

That's actually really good. How much have you done in clay in the past? Oh, and that room looks like a great place to work.

I haven't done any other clay-work aside from something that vaugely resembles a bowl. And of course, there was this Figure Modeling class. I had a MUCH harder time getting things to look right in 3D though, and the teacher wasn't very forgiving.

When shading a drawing, you see a shadow, you draw it in, but in modeling, you have to make the form casting the shadow, and hope you get it just right. I kept mistaking forms, for cast shadows, and missing one little bump here or there, yada yada. It's a pain, but his one came out pretty good.
