Β there is nothing missed in this masterpiece

perhaps known as the "wealth of hindsight"

or maybe by the New Mexican adage :

''el dinero va y viene,....la vida va"

thank you for tripping back through and the fave ... that's my 82-year-old father-in-law who lives in Marfa, the town where I photographed the thunder clouds that you like. still going to work every day even though his arms and hands don't work too well any more.

i realised you added stuff i haven't seen - been a hectic year and i haven't been diligent at browsing and favving, unfortunately. the kids are busy, life and work as well, time to chill on dA just keeps decreasing ...

all that said - this is a fantastic picture and it does tell a great story - just by his hands i could tell he is not a young man, but i could also tell he is still a strong one... i hope he can keep doing what keeps him going until he chooses to stop

he's an old cowboy and bronc rider, one helluva "plant whisperer" when it comes to gardening. he keeps goats and roosters... knows the name of every mountain and camp between Marfa and the border of Mexico (about 65 miles) since he rode back and forth on horseback an infinite number of times... and as I'm discussing this image with you, I'm reminded that I've spent several visits over several years making pictures of him and documenting where and how he works (and what he works with) around the house. I could make a book... and I just might! Thank you!

I would accuse you of looking after the wrong butt, but I watch people like this to and notice these sorts of thingsΒ

yeah, no "bromance" with my beloved 80-year-old father-in-law Ruben going on; however, he has very little strength or flexibility left in his arms due to old age and related medical condition(s) so guess I more or less documented a small and possibly endearing aspect of his current condition. He gets up everyday and does his chores and goes to work for a long-time family friend who's yard and grounds he keeps inspire of it all.
