Description Nero was born and raised in Alexandria, the capital city of the world-spanning Victorian Empire. As a child, he demonstrated a particular knack for machinery, which led to his deeply intuitive understanding of engineering, and ultimately his position as chief engineer aboard the Windfish (and now, the HMAS Loftwing). He is now in his early 30s.

When he is not actively repairing the ship (which, admittedly, only takes a few hours, most of the time), he is either manning the radio room or fiddling with something in his workshop.

Personality: Nero is a friendly man, but he occasionally puts his foot in his mouth, usually by delving into his overly technical understanding of the world, but sometimes just because he has something of a dark sense of humor—possibly the result of his years on an airship. While he is handsome, this awkwardness does extend to interacting with pretty girls.

Nero cares deeply for his brothers, also crew aboard the HMAS Loftwing, and is especially protective of Nimrod (the youngest brother). While Neville is not well-trained to physically defend himself, Nero feels that Neville is far smarter than he himself, and therefore rarely feels a need to defend him. Nimrod, because of his disability, has always been something of a subject of ridicule (despite being talented in many of the same ways Nero is), and therefore Nero is always quick to compliment his successes and alleviate his failures.

Duties: Chief engineer, radio technician, capable of manning the helm in normal conditions.

In Combat: Nero is big and strong, which grants him advantages in combat, but he is not by any means trained to fight.
