Called the "Doodlebug" over here, my late Mother told me that if you heard one coming, you waited to see if the engine cut out, if it did you ran like hell to the nearest shelter, they could take out an entire building with one of these.
The RAF used late model Supermarine Spitfires, the Hawker Tempest and Gloster Meteors to down them, the Tempest and the Meteor were fast enough to catch them at low level and tip them over using their wings.

Its funny, but I've seen them get things wrong, especially UK history. Was watching a prog on the Battle of Britain a few days back, they started talking about the Hawker Hurricane and how it played a major part in the battle(s), trouble is in the aerial seqences half the time you saw Spifires and at one point a P-51 Mustang!!

Oh true. they do distort some facts but not a whole lot. Mainly that is for 'action' as opposed to following what the narrator is saying.
