This is a stunning piece Kate! I love the shine of the horses coat and his overall shape. I have two horses and love them very much. But I haven't drawn them in a really long time. This is a beautiful image. I'm pretty sure I know the breed of the horse you used here, but I can't spell it correctly. Could you please let me know? That would be cool! :0)

I would love to have my own horses one day... they are expensive though but nevertheless its my dream to own more than one

No problem....Thanks for letting me know the name of the breed. It is different than what I was thinking, so I'm glad I asked! Your are welcome about the compliments. I truly meant them. It is better to have a dream/goal than not to have one at all, because if you didn't have a dream or goal, then you would probably get nothing at all. Keep dreaming and working toward your goals and you just might be surprised at what you can achieve. Maybe you can hang around a local horse barn and paint them from life and learn more about them. Even if you can't buy one for a while, you can see how to take care of them. Just being around them is good therapy.

Very impressive, great colour use especcially with it being so dark.
