Description
Darkness.  A deep pitch black hole of emptiness.  Kyosuke calls out an inaudible name, but as expected, there's no answer.  There's a loose silhouette in the distance; Kyosuke's hand reaches out for the silhouette he knows is the person he's looking for, been looking for this whole time.  There's nothing to grab his hand, nothing to touch.
The soothing voice echoes in his head, 'Kyosuke.  I'm not meant to be found. Give up on me.  You have years to live… I've seen you in a way no one else has, and I'm happy with that.  I've loved you more than the life I have lived…That means everything to me.'
He wakes up with a start, breathing heavily, sweat dripping down his brow as a substitute for tears.  He has no more tears to cry, never did.  He groans slowly, a hand combing through messy blond locks in an attempt to tame the messy tresses.  It's still dark outside, but he knows he won't be able to sleep again.  Not with that voice echoing through his head again.  The telepath could be dead for all Kyosuke knows, but he can't stop looking.  He has no purpose without the other in his life.
Kyosuke takes his time in dressing, grabbing his things, and leaving the inn to grab a drink in a tavern.  He had traveled to the lively market town in hopes of getting work for living off a little loosely in his expenditures, but the town was relatively peaceful and no one needed his services.
On the way to the tavern, he kept hearing strange noises that kept him on edge and with a growl of annoyance, he shouted out into the empty night, "What the hell do you want with me?!"
The sounds lead him to a dead end alleyway, the wall in front of him starting to melt like plastic in a fire.  It becomes almost like a doorway… and curiosity getting the best of him, Kyosuke steps into the portal.
The world that meets him isn't pretty, but Kyosuke's no skeptic.  He's been to other worlds with his powers of oblivion, so he takes everything in detail.  The ethereal woman before him relays her woes.
A blue eye narrows, brows furrowing in natural response, "Not interested.  I have things to do."
Kyosuke only grits his teeth at the smile, hand going to the hilt of his sword out of instinct, but the grip falls when she mentions the benefits.
"Fine.  But you better make do on your promise." He snorts, turning to walk in the opposite direction.
Let the blood fall and the battle begin.
