The Dixon Island: Serinaustra refugia

  When the Ultimocene begins 250 M.E Post-Establishment there was two continents: Serinarcta in North and Serinaustra in South. Serinaustra had a very large Stepp that went from their middle up to their Ice cap in the south. In Summers, this Stepp where so full of live as the Serengeti savanna. Giant Archangels flight to this stepp in the summer to feed and large circuagodonts herds come from the taiga and temperate forests from north to graze there. Bumblebears catch their young and efts thrive in the vernal pools. It were a rich ecosystem, but the world were changing quickly.
    Over the next 10 milion years, the cold winters became hard and hard, the forests were shrinking and the ice cap growing. Every year were colder than the last and soon the biomass and the biodiversity degree considerably. By 260, Half of the continent was taken by ice. The growing Ice cap north and south shrinks Serina already shallow oceans and give rise to a lot of islands, one of them would be the Dixon Island.

    Some creatures were pushed to this island by the growing ice cap, running away from the cold or going there by accident, a small sample of animals and plants went there. Archangels, Sparrowgulls, one aberrant circuagodont specie, a clonger specie, efts, bumblebagers and other small creatures. All would suffer the pression of new ambient and change will occur very quickly…

I will cover this island because i'm an a big fan of Sheather888 Works and i was thinking about the potential that the Ultimocene island formation would have in the speciation of creatures. I will create my own creatures based in Sheather works, but it's just a fan speculative project inside a speculative project.
