Description He is a member of new order of cephalopods - Exipoda. it is the only member of the genus Pelagotheuthis and the Pelagotheuthidae family. Contrary to its appearance, it is more closely related to Squids and Cuttlefish than to Octopuses. It eats fish and small crustaceans.
