A shadowbox done for a friend of mine. Not the best, but I love how the bird and flower turned out. This is the i'iwi bird, one of my favorite birds of Hawaii 'perched' on a rather poorly done ohi'a branch with flower. Both species are endangered. Its sad that we have such unique flora and fauna threatened with extinction. This has probably said many times, their survival depends on people. I'll certainly be sad if these two are to be extinct in my time...
