Did you do those paintings?

Nope, bought them from a seller on eBay.  Unfortunately, she passed away a few years ago, and her website has finally been emptied of portraits for sale.

Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. I've seen this picture come up from time to time on Google and it's so beautiful. I imagine she made a lot of money selling copies of that, huh?

Probably not as much as one might think.  I don't remember how much it cost – probably somewhere between $100 and $150, and probably was an auction so the prices would have varied.  She did sell fairly regularly, if memory serves, but I suspect didn't earn more than an average job might pay.  (But what do I know? )

However, that's nothing compared to some original "Phantom" art I looked into a few years ago.  $5000 each piece, maybe more. O_o  Needless to say, that particular piece never graced my walls.

I realize that's not a lot for original art in the art world, but I was (am) used to paying FAR less for original fan art.  Of course, her works were giclees (printed with an inkjet printer), and so only copies.  It was hard to pay prices like that when I had originals that didn't cost much more than what her copies usually did, but I made the "sacrifice."

I love this! Where did you get the one on the left side?

Thank you.

I got it on eBay.

I believe the seller died a few years ago. I remember reading some stunned condolence messages somewhere - on eBay, I think - and the seller's account was inactive for a time, then suddenly there were things to buy again (I think maybe her husband took up the seller's account), and even some new art. But the eBay account has had no activity again for more than two years now, so I'm not quite sure what's up.

You might check out their website. It's still up, but I don't know if it is still active:

I actually have a few more of her pix. You can see another one in "shrine 07" - in the oval frame - plus a couple that aren't pictured: "Sword Fight" and I believe the other one is called "Sad Phantom" or something along those lines. Basically Erik on the rooftop sadly staring at the rose Christine dropped.

I also own one of the custom PotO dolls she sold: the unmasked Final Lair scene doll. You can see him in the Shrine photo that shows many dolls and a portrait of Mr. Spock on the wall.

Thank you. Kind of sad to consider that when I'm gone it'll all be sold off or thrown away.

Ooh they're gorgeous! Really stunning!
I've never seen the left one either, it's absolutely beautiful! I love the way the artist painted the cavern in the back, it looks almost a bit like an actual house. And the Phantom's expression looks great too.

How big are the pics? Did they come with the frames? (they fit so well! They actually remind me a bit of his lair and the style of his decorations)

Great pictures!! I'm jealous!

I like 'em, too.

These two pictures are 11" by 14" and the other three (two not seen) are 8" by 10." Only the oval-shaped picture came already framed.

I sent you the link to their website, so you might still be able to purchase copies. I think you get to choose which size you want.

Got them both from the seller phantomcollection on eBay. I think they've stopped selling, though. At least on eBay. I believe they have a link to their website on their "me" page. You might give it a try.
