Description He is dark chocolate.
At a glance, he is outspoken.
Some hate him for his bitterness, a hot-blooded, cruel aspect of him, which he would turn to most anyone.
Others love him, seeing past his layer of bitterness. They do not blame him for it, as it is in his nature.
Those who love him have come to know what lies beneath his anger, what is buried. Hidden, but not quite lost.
They love him for the quiet yet recognizable sweetness that lays beneath his sarcastic tone.
He is sweet, despite the fact that many dislike him. This is why she loves him.

She is a cloud.
At a glance, she is peculiar.
Sometimes cumulus, sometimes cumulonimbus. Sometimes small and quiet, sometimes the center of attention, although she prefers the former.
Regardless, she is ever-changing. Ever-growing and turning.
Some hate her, as well. She is awkward, difficult to predict, and just as difficult to deal with.
Every action she makes is uncertain, yet her thoughts are like waves carefully tracing the coastline.
And yet, he cares for her.

She looks at him, wishing she could know what he thinks. She sees the other girls, so far away, as they pass him around. As he lets them pass him back and forth, even playing along.  As long as they don't break him, he is glad to spend time with them, enjoying their games. She longs for them to pass him on to her, but is afraid ask. So she sits, floating in her not-solitude, content to watch.
And he lays on his back, watching her float by. She shuffles uncertainly across her blue backdrop. She offers one last glance, before turning to face the horizon.

And as they sit together for one last time, watching the sun rise over their futures, they wonder where along the line they will be forced to part ways. She cannot help but hope that that day will not come.
