It's a fairly known fact that I do little Guyver fanart. In all honesty, I think the last artwork I did that was remotly Guyver-related (outside my original characters, but you really can't count them as such) was my Guyver-nized versions of Vincent and Sephiroth, and I can't remember how long ago that was.

What possessed me to draw Guyver II is still completely beyond me.

Actually, I think I might have an inkling. The new anime did a wonderful job updating the character designs of almost everyone and everything from the manga, and although Guyver III will remain my favorite Guyver [design], I can't deny that Guyver II looks pretty badass. I love how the armor itself looks damaged, like it's already in the beginning stages of consuming Lisker alive, and something in the realms of time and space somehow convinced me to take the idea a step further.

I also can't help but think that if Lisker ever did manage to come back (which I don't think will happen in any medium of Guyver outside wishful fanfiction), he'd be pretty FUBR'd.

On another note, I KNOW that he's the wrong color. I was foolish enough to think I could dive head-first into coloring him based off memory, but that apparently didn't work. I did, however, scan the lineart, so if anyone wants to take a stab at doing a [better] coloring job, feel free to note me and let me know.

I finished this guy tonight instead of finishing Hamlet, which would have been better in my best interests, but this guy's been sitting on my desk since last semester. He deserved the dignity of being complete sometime before summer.
