Recently Universal released a still of their new design for Parasaurolophus for Jurassic World, and coinciding with that I released this portrait of the 76 million year old design of Parasaurolophus walkeri for our world. I admit the maxillary rhamphotheca may be too small, so if anyone has better info, I'll be happy to revise it.

I can never resist adding some speculative elements to my portraits, and this time I gave the crest a hardened keratinized covering, which at this point I can't suggest you take as anything other than just wild speculation. The same goes for the loose skin of the "lips". Though there is talk of a possible lambeosaurine fossil with skin preservation or skin impression in this region, we don't really know anything concrete yet. Nor do we know more about the supposed Parasaurolophus crest soft tissue. We'll just have to sit and wait. At least now I'll have this portrait to use as a base for a revision in the future.
