"This is CGBC on September 4th 2023. We're awfully sorry to hear about the premature closure of CITV and an end to some iconic children's programming. Sadly, the channel did not receive a great farewell, the leftover time after the last adverts being used solely to broadcast for the ITVX Kids streaming service.

We here at the GBC will genuinely reassure all viewers that none of our current linear TV channels for digital TV will be moving to be exclusive to GBC Hub, despite some of our dedicated online channels for kids. We will remain dedicated to offline linear TV to the bitter end, and we hope to continue providing you with fantastic programming every day.

In honour of the 40-and-a-half years of amazing programming CITV brought its viewers, we at CGBC are dedicating this whole week to showcasing iconic and memorable programmes from CITV's classic library, in our bid to give the channel a proper send-off.

Rest assured that the time we switch off each day has been bumped to 9pm to ensure nobody outright misses out on the mix of content we're offering all throughout this week. We've also got a temporary colour change to mark the occasion. Now, let's get ready for CITV's final tribute!

Coming right up next, we're journeying down to Fraggle Rock. Afterwards, it's the magical teacher who brought school lessons to life, Mr. Majeika. And later, we're checking in on that one-of-a-kind bear from Peru, Paddington Bear."
