Day 10 of [link] – Something you can’t live without. I was thinking.. burritos? Internet? Oxygen? Nooo.. music! I couldn’t imagine a world without music. Here, Res plays a guitar. Most fun: The fretboard, I think it really came out nicely, and the paw/arm isn’t too bad either. Anyone recognize what’s on the staff?Just as predicted by *someone*, I'm back out of bed after midnight to post another daily drawing. I was particularly fond of this one too.
You know what... looking at it now, the paw is awfully big compared to the fretboard...

Another thing you do with your art that I don't see a lot of other people doing, even when I was still in college: really playing with your compositions. I was always praised for mine in college, but it was honestly because I was the only one who didn't seem to care if the entire character was crammed in a piece (I was constantly being told I was the best in the class at composition). It's nice to see things like this where it's just a hand, that you normally wouldn't see an artist draw unless they're drawing a comic. But I think part of it might be your photographer background as well, because photographers have a much much better understanding of composition than an artist who does nothing but draw (the ones who take more than just portrait shots, anyway.)
Even with half my hearing already gone, I think I wouldn't want to lose the rest of it either. Not just because of music, but one of my favorite things to do is just listen to people's voices as well (a big reason why I still love cartoons, and get really annoyed when they hire celebrities who suck at voice acting and just use their regular voice in movies. That's a little better if the celebrity has an interesting voice, but it's annoying when they don't T_T;; Another one of a long list of things I can't stand about Disney )

I believe Beethoven went deaf, he played the piano by memory. Hell, a lot of composers have lost their hearing. I have heard it said it only stops them hearing the distractions.
If you can't read sheet music though, oooh...
