Description
My submission for May's Character Design Challenge on Facebook. The brief for this month was to redesign a character from the Neverending Story, I decided to go for the Childlike Empress. Even though I have been drawing mermaids this whole month already, making her a fish creature seemed really fitting somehow!I really enjoyed working on this, especially trying to get that iridescent shine on her scales. Hope you like the end result as much as I do!

I've seen the film only once a very long time ago, and I have to say I found it rather uncanny. The book, however, made a much better impression on me when read to me as a little kid.
