*Clears throat* So Baby-Bat...lately I've been having this strange addiction. And I'm pretty sure that judging by this picture, it's pretty obvious what it is. But I'm gonna say it anyways...I'm obsessed with the 50s decade! XDThis all started last week! Now, everybody knows that my favorite channel on TV is "Lifetime" (Mostly because I watch my favorite shows "Bring it!" and "Jump!" almost every week!"). So I was looking online on Youtube to see if the new clips for next episodes were uploaded yet, and I happened to stumble upon a video that automatically caught my attention, which was called "The Secret life of Marilyn Monroe". Now, for all of you who didn't know...Marilyn Monroe has always been my Idol! She was so Awesome in the 50s decade! I love her to death, and I wish she was still alive so I could meet her!
But anyways, I'm so gonna see that movie next month and I can't wait! So pretty much, Marilyn got me wondering..."What was it like back in the 50s?". So I did about two days of research, and the 50s was cool as f*ck! Besides the stupid segregation bullshit!
But still, I looked into the 50s lifestyle and stuff, and everything seems so cool! And you know some of those 50s themed movies (Grease, for one of them.) was literally what happened back then for real! (Besides the singing and dancing part
)So right now, I kinda wish I knew what life could be like in the 50s, because it seems so fun! I asked my dad about other decades and stuff (He was born in the 50s, 1959) and they seemed alright. And my mom was born in the 70s, but those decades can't get me as interested as the 50s can.
So pretty much, Baby-Bat...this is You and Me getting all dressed up to go on an Awesome "Girls Night Out!" together. You're driving me to a 50s Diner to get a couple of milkshakes, after that, we're going to the Drive-in Movie Theater, and then we spend the rest of our night in the big city! Best. Night. EVER!

So, imagine my surprise when I saw THIS mention pop up in my inbox! 8D I'm delighted to hear that you've taken an interest in the decade of the 50s, Jo'. They really were an incredible time period (indeed segregation issues aside, and without everyone constantly breaking into spontaneous song-and-dance like in Grease) and the American culture back in that day was rather different in an entirely interesting way. I'm absolutely LOVING the dresses, and you picked a pretty awesome reference for them both too! ^^~ (Not to mention the hairstyles! 8D Heck yes!) AAAAAHHHHH~

Yeah, I wish we could relive the 50s just to see what it felt like. Because that decade was Awesome! Not to mention the very cheap prices. XD
