Tears rock a soul that is not minefor surely as I breathe my soul shall
never be mine, my heart is gone.
Stolen and locked, it shall be
for to think otherwise is to die.
I look at my heart's keeper and sigh,
for I do not keep the keeper.
My desires are disraught
tears and scream a palatable storm;
raging in my head as if caught;
by the evanescent thought
that should I keep breathing,
would it be still my soul to keep?
I keep not my keeper
whose soul and heart I
know not, but shall pursue
with every breath of my
distraught self.
For should I not, chase
after that which I would keep;
then I must fade and be
but a mere shadow of the keeper
who I would keep.
