Description R. Daneel Olivaw is an humanoid Robot created by Isaac Asimov in the "Robot and Foundation" series.

This scene shows the moment when R. Daneel arrives in Solaria, a planet abandoned by the humans, and only dwelled by millons of robots.

EDIT: I know that Daneel is supposed to be indistinguishable from a human being (except for a roboticist), but the image wouldn't be that nice if, instead of a robot there was a human there. Also, almost all the book covers from the Asimov series show a Daneel more "robot" than human... it's not that weird hahaha.

Photoshop CS2. 155 Layers. 8 hours.

What covers are you referring to that supposedly show Daneel as "more robot"?
This is beautiful work, yes. But, as a huge fan of all of Asimov's work, and an expert on the Robot Series in particular, I have to say that this is not, and never could be, R Daneel Olivaw.
Daneel is a humaniform robot and has the appearance of a human being so much so that he was able to fool all Earth people, including an Earth Roboticist for awhile, Solarians, and at first, even Elijah Baley himself.
So, I'm not really sure what you mean when you mention Daneel being portrayed as "more robot" than human.

Like I said, beautiful work! Not trying to be negative or insulting. I just know a Daneel when I see one, hahaha.

This is absolutely gorgeous as a standalone image! As others have said though, it isn't Daneel...maybe you could put some sort of "alternate reality" note next to the title so that people don't get confused? I think the scene would have looked just as nice with the real Daneel there, and I'm not sure which covers you're referring to but Daneel looks human and is never portrayed otherwise on any of the books or official artwork. He is always shown to look one hundred percent human. It is, however, a perfect image of Giskard...why not just change the title to reflect that? It would fit so well and would not be jarring to people who are looking for artwork of Daneel

This would have worked better as a fan art of Giskard Reventlov.

jajaja thank you, but again, is a representation of Daneel that comes out from my mind. It doesn't have to fit the reality.

Nice pic! Not very accurate though, since Daneel is supposed to be indistinguishable from a human being (except for a roboticist).

Eheh, I know what you mean! ^^ Still, to an Asimov fan, it still looks a bit weird. Nice job anyway!

Amazing, as usual, and I love the idea of using an energy orb for the brain...

I do not know this character but this picture totally got me. What a beautiful view but knowing, there is only robots, makes it a little scary - well, for me it does.
