Backstory for Ciel and Rex
Brace yourself, It's Very long (keyword 'Very')

Ciel Was a living human with high amounts of Ratia, when she was kidnapped by a group hoping to create Artificial mediums for their army to invade the Afterlife (Parallax) for this, Ciel was the Guinea Pig.
In the process to create an Artificial medium, her body and soul were broken down (and it was as painful as it sounds) into a liquid before being cast into a Medium forge (Equipment to repair Mediums damaged in an Abnormal manner) where her Body was forcibly Transformed into a medium. becoming a Wind Elemental, Short spear type.
however before she could fuse with any test users, an Incident happened which caused her body and to become an Spirit spark (an entity that rapidly seeks out Soulless newborns) and rapidly left the facility in hunt for a body to inhabit
in this case Rex
unfortunately for Ciel moments before she fused with Rex, he had just left the womb, and thus his soul was already absorbed by another spirit spark, however she was inches away at this moment, and moving too fast to stop, so she was simply "Absorbed" into his inner world, however she wasn't destroyed, Because of the newborn Rex's Malleable Soul, she was absorbed into his inner world, Due to the proximity to his twin, Ciel transformed slightly to better fit a "Twin Medium" role (Weakening her abilities significantly)
Rex Himself was the Second twin to Regina Aezerith, when twins are born, Normally only one twin can receive a medium, and the twin that's chosen is the one that leaves the womb first [in this case Regina] Because of this, it seemed Rex was a Rarity with his Medium

Rex After Death (in a car trip to a campsite that went Downhill literally) Became a spirit that Passed on to Parallax
due to the High Ratia environment awoken Ciel, because of the time between Rex being born and his death, Ciel properly Merged with his soul, allowing Ciel to manifest herself (however in suppressed form)

after a Long story of events, Ciel revealed her nature, and upon Rex's Acceptance, she took on her true form, The released version in which you can see above, along with "Boosting" his power

the GASA, or Guardian academy Space Agency (HEY WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN HERE, [I gotta go] GET OUT OF HERE ALREADY) *ahem* again, The GASA, or Guardian Academy of Spiritual arts is an Academy that teaches powerful young spirits how to use their powers, and to train to become Guardians (though the latter is an Optional "Course" that 90 percent of the students inevitably choose to take), Their Uniform varies depending on the year the students are, with 10 different Uniforms existing for Each Academic Level existing, The academy itself teaches Ratia control, Ratia manipulation, Medium Summoning, and Combat styles along with how to fight a Darkened
