It's a shame that Urd and Mara's relationship was never really explored, except for that one arc in the manga. Even though they poked at one another the way they did, I would've imagined them to be pretty tight-knit friends.
They're two awesome, well-respected characters. And you know what? Even though I've never been much of a shojo-ai fan, or seen Oh My Goddess! as that type of a series, I really think there's potential for romantic chemistry between the two of them.
*sigh*...

true true. fujishima-sensei has a penchant for creating cool yuri-able charas that he never does anything with. mm, amg was certainly a classic, and that's an impressive feat in itself. i couldn't begin to fathom what kind of challenges such a manga artist might have. i'm glad you noticed the spark between these two though : )

I imagine being it isn't easy being a comic artist-- especially a mangaka (from what I understand, they have to make entire chapters with only a small staff to do the heavy lifting, whereas comic-strip cartoonists have a lesser workload, and comic-book cartoonists have a staff to mingle and throw around ideas with).
Still, when you say Oh My Goddess! was certainly a classic, I say, emphasis on "was". The franchise as a whole has been deteriorating as of late. I can't help but feel Fujishima has either been losing his touch, or even not caring, as of late...
Still, you know what? Six, eight, ten years of timeless animé & manga is better than zero.

Yeah, Oh My Goddess! was certainly a far cry from the rest of animé and manga. That's how I became interested in it in the first place-- because it was so sweet and tasteful. I was skeptical about the series at first, since my only knowledge of it, sadly, came from fan-made ecchi of the series, but I enjoyed it, for the most part, immensely.
That's the funny thing about animé and manga-- and any storytelling medium, I guess-- it's perfectly possible to make a series violent or risqué without being tasteless, but it's a delicate act.

I've always been a fan of Urd. Didn't get to see Mara much except occassionally in the early comics. But yah, they do look nice together.

speaking of w/c, AMG manga is running for like more than two decades now.. >_> it's old.

yep! The OVA was one of the first anime I watched. AMG's one of those few series that people are willing to wait 10+ years for the animation. I hope Claymore will be the same.
