Description
Before he died, Jack was married and his wife was heavily pregnant. This was why she did not accompany him on the fateful ice skate with him and his sister.
The baby was born prematurely, due to the stress of Jack's death on his wife. The baby survived, and was named Jacquelyn after her father.

This is an alternate view, wherein Jack died after his child's birth. In this reality, the baby is called Charlotte instead.
