My second completed drawing in the series.

This is the same as the one I posted earlier but I added a layer of color in Photoshop to liven it up a bit and sort of create the feeling that Noees is a poluted planet.

Dust and dirt is what mostly surrounds the constantly moving Suicide Tree Forests on Noees. These badlands are home to migrating herds of Dust Cows, Onion Weeds, scavanging four-winged flyers, and a variety of Tritails. The large Dust Cows are herbivores and feed maily on various shrubs and grasses that grow on the outskirts of the Suicide Tree Forests. They do not however eat the Onion Weeds. In fact, only certain types of bacteria can consume the Onion Weeds without succumbing to its poison.

Besides being poisonous, the Onion Weed also has an extremely repulsive smell that is similar to decaying flesh. Onion Weeds are actually predatory plants. When fully grown, the Onion Weed Tree gains the ability to sense disturbances in the air and shoot out a long curving barbed "tongue" in order to capture flying prey (or any animal that climbs the tree). The adult tree does not actually produce any scent and relies on its surrounding offspring to act as bait for the scavangers. Noees also features a different, and much more dangerous variety of the Onion Weed known to humans as the Toxic Onion. The toxic onion does not grow to a hunting form like the Onion Weed and instead kills prey by releasing higly toxic fumes if an animal wanders into a patch. Both forms are able to feed by absorbing the decaying flesh that is left in the patch.

The four-winged scavangers have a highly evolved sense of smell and are able to sense pheromones released by endangered creatures from great distances. They can also sense the smell of blood and decaying flesh. They often follow creatures that are being hunted to get a piece after the predators get theirs.

The Spotted Bonesnout Tritail is the most common predator of the Noees badlands. Tritails come in a great variety on Noees and most are predatory and highly aggressive. They are pack hunters but are known to fight fiercely amongst each other after the kill. The two rear libms (the extra "tails") are actually specialized reproductive organs. A female Tritail does not actually have a reproductive orifice so the Tritails reproduce by a process known to humans as "traumatic insemination." That is, a male Tritail will subdue a female and will actually pierce her flesh with his sharp rear limbs and inject his sperm. These wounds are painful but heal quickly. The female Tritail's rear limbs do not feature a sharp bony end and are used to secrete a nourishing liquid similar to milk which she uses to feed her young offspring.

Well, that description is longer than I thought it would be, but at least I think I explained everything.
