Kyoto was raised in Little Tokyo and was given the name of a building there. Kyoto Grand Hotel and Gardens to be exact. However, her clan was small and consisted of only three others. Her mother, father and rookery brother. They were the only ones that survived an attack in New Mexico and she and her brother had only been hachlings at the time.

Repeating what I said, she was raised in Little Tokyo where her parents soon 'gathered' names for all of them. Obviously, hers was Kyoto. Her brother's was Otani. Oddly enough, they were named after the same building. New Otani used to be the name of the building. She loved to visit the garden there and found it relaxing and beautiful. However, she was sure to keep out of sight. It was easy considering she was only 4' 10", very small compared to the rest of her clan and species.

Kyoto actually has a knack for stealth and can keep out of sight right under someone's nose. But don't let this fool you, she is no stranger to fighting. Her and Otani used to do it all the time. Before he said it was unbecoming to hit a girl.

After a couple of years of this, everything fell apart when Kyoto was taken away from her family to New York by someone she cannot remember. Now she wanders aimlessly without a clan and no way to get home. She lives off of the small amount of money she gets from begging, hiding her appearance with tattered and oversized robes that people throw out.

Kyoto is the result of me rewatching Gargoyles. I love the show, it is awesome. I may change her background if I can find a 'clan' for her and suit it to where she is able to join them. I love her design a bunch.
