Description
So here are Hades' brothers Zeus and Poseidon (Poseidon to the left and Zeus to the right). They... liven up the story a bit, don't they?
I don't think I've ever drawn a comic with so many half-naked men before (but hey, I didn't invent the Minoan fashion). But the funniest thing on this page is still Hestia blowing bubbles with her straw. I giggled while sketching that panel.

Ah, the two brothers show up. I was all prepared to hate pretty perfect Zeus, but here he doesn't seem too bad - though of course, seeming and being are very different things.
I also adore the way Poseidon and Zeus gave each other sideways looks, to say nothing of Hestia blowing bubbles. I wonder who the girl who defeated Zeus is - maybe Metis? or maybe no one in particular?

I'm trying to give Zeus a little more complicated personality by not making him a total bastard (which is a bit of a challenge, since I don't really like him). So he's, like, half bastard and half pretty ok. He's quite intelligent and can act all wise and righteous when it suits him, but he's also terribly proud and arrogant. Not to mention he's got some...problems with his sexuality.
I don't think that girl was someone special, but now that you mentioned Metis... She and Zeus should have met already, since, according to one version, she helped him to deliver his siblings. The question is if they had an affair that early. According to Hesiod, Zeus didn't start to marry and sleep around with women until after the Titan War, but I want Athena to be born before the war. Oh, to order all these things chronologically sure isn't easy...
