You must be a bit further North than me (Flint), but I've seen it snow in June so...
When I was a kid an old man I used to know would say "Michigan is 9 months Winter and 3 months of bad ice fishing."

LOLOL, exactly...I am up in the UP area of Houghton thereabouts...

We have had snow over the 4th of July one year....I lost all my
tomato plants and I froze because all I packed was a bikini and
towel for the weekend....Now I keep my camo long jons always
available ....even in the summer...
