Description

A beautiful Laguna Agate wrapped in solid 925/999 Sterling Silver. I wanted to leave as much of the stone exposed as possible. Three frame wires were used, one fully wrapped for the outside and the other two for each face of the stone. Those followed the banding when necessary. I then had 6 ends to work with after capturing the slice. 2 became the twist and roses and I played a bit with bringing the outside cross weave wrapped wires back under the other two to allow the cross weave to go around the two originally inside. This gave me a frame wire to rest on the necklace and protect the weave. Two ends became the curled features next to the roses and the other two are hidden. A few 925 beads were added to fill gaps and soften the top of the piece.
