every way ends, every road,
every foot-path leads at last
to the hill-crest -
then you retrace your steps,
or find the same slope on the other side,
precipitate.

...o to blot out this garden
to forget, to find a new beauty
in some terrible
wind-tortured place

...i've reached several ends in my life recently, and even though i'm well aware all things end, i can't help but look back and analyze... if i could only find some shelter, a place i could hide from my thoughts, dark thoughts following me like a blood trace follows a dragged man's body in agony...
if i could only Forget.
