EDI (IDA) est une intelligence artificielle intégrée aux systèmes informatiques du vaisseau "Normandy SR2". Elle se manifeste par l'intermédiaire d'un hologramme abstrait, jusqu'à ce qu'elle fasse l'acquisition d'un corps humanoïde féminin, qui va changer le comportement des membres de l'équipage à son égard et la faire basculer peu à peu dans l'Humanité.

She interacts with the crew with an holographic form, before she finds a looking-female droïd which she can use like a "mobile platform". This body makes her more human, and she can exchange easier with the crew. Is it the importance of a human appearence ?
