Description
Vigil here's an anti-hero (of sorts) character I created in 2011. While the word Vigil works by itself, in the setting I vaguely-furnished, the name's a short for vigilante. I didn't go any further in terms of art for this character. Wasn't sure at the time where I wanted to go with the setting, whether to do a comic or write a short novel (the latter of which I've only managed 2 chapters).

The concept here is to convey some manner of realism to Vigil's attire, each piece of the apparel referenced off of equipment that can be found currently in real life, like the Bike helmet and Kevlar vest for example. I tried to interpret how an actual hero or anti-hero would dress in reality, though I left a bit of fantasy in the design like the large overcoat to simulate a cape.
