Description Road-Ranger is the gobot I played the more with as a child. He's still quite good looking despite being quite simple and was a good cheap alternative to the expensive Optimus Prime.
I tried here to render how I was seing him then.
Do you think it'd be cool to place a human running in the foreground for the scale?
Colorisation will come soon.
EDIT: And it came, but not by me!!!!

This is great, man.
And when it came to small figures, like Road Ranger & Small Foot, Gobots were *so* much better than TF minibots.

Great! That's awesome! I hope you'll give her a touch of femininity. She always reminded me of a tomboy.
You know, whoever invented the personalities for the gobots really was thinking outside the box, and way ahead of his/her time. Because, the toys for both Crasher and Smallfoot are masculine, there's nothing really feminine about them, and yet they were given female personalities. But you wouldn't catch Smallfoot as a TF fembot, that's for sure.
Anyway, I look forward to seeing what you do.

Oups! I didn't remember he was a she in the show. I almost forgot everything about it. So there will have no part of feminity in my drawing. Sorry.
But I tried something a while ago about Crasher .

Ah, that's okay. Your work is more about being toy accurate than cartoon accurate, so I'm sure it will still look great.

happy to hear that about the gobots. ^^. The recent "gobots" set from E-hobby with recolored minibots into Gobots caracter show how lame they are compared to Gobots.

I really don't know if he was given this color sheme at first or if it was mean in a second thought to answer to Hastak on OP. There is some really rare black-blue and white-blue versions of him.

i think its a reaction to optimus prime the car mode and the colors dont tell me that any kid from the 80's who saw him didnt immediatly think optimus prime
