I Am Death, is what they call me down here in Hell. I've been doing this for so long, I can't even remember how long anymore! All I know is suffering, pain, turmoil, endless heartaches. But lately, I've been wondering what is Hell exactly? What is the purpose of my job really..?
I come to maintain that the suffering I put on these souls that come before me, is simply the inability to suffer that one can not simply love anymore or choose to have hate in their hearts instead of love! My heart is black and full of dark, mysterious wonders; one who would wonder naturally what is in the heart of me..
Of course, anyone who comes before me after death would likely seem to spark that love again, but when you're before me! You're with me forever.

This is actually a really good piece. like someone said above the blur really adds to the effect. The lack of detail further adds uncertainty and a feeling of unknown fear type of quality to it. Keep it up

I see the a great metaphorical story here. I like series art that you can put together into a bigger story. This image pervades your idea that Death has a soul. I am into dark imagery and the point comes through in the picture. Well done.

Really nice work, a bit blurry. That is on one side nice, making it more surreal, on the other side, the parts directly on the figure look a bit weird, especially on the shoulders.
But regardless, really good.

From the series I gotta say this one is the favorite in my book. In the beginning is calming, watching, determining on the outcome, plotting for the real battle. Then comes darkness, successfully creating scenario and the all goes up in flames, ending the long awaited purpose.
At the very least that my view of this pieces!

The semi-impressionist (did I just invent a word?) effect is powerful, making the eye see that which isn't there. Did you consider making the face blurred as well?

I really like the skeletal/organ body, which is highly detailed. The face and hair are very "anime" but still give it an X-men feel.
The only thing I would criticize is the obvious Photoshop smudge tool effects. If you had spent a little more time making the smoke unique and adding better lighting, it would be top-notch.
Still a really awesome piece though..
