Finally got around to this, my own snake character.

Edge was born as any normal snake was, he lived in a tree village with many other species of snakes, rattlers, cobras, vipers, even anacondas. His father was a Ball Python and his mother was a Western Diamond Back Rattlesnake, though Edge has one fang on his mouth, it is in no way poisonous, which he does not mind. The silver band he wears around his neck was given to him by his father on his 18th birthday as a symbol that he would carry on his families legacy. When Edge was 19 he found a lovely viper girl named Ale and introduced himself to her. The two began seeing each other for about a few months and during that time on an alone date at Edge's home, as they were looking at each other lovingly, Edge noticed something was strange about Ale, he saw that her eyes were starting to glow blue and she started to look tired and dizzy. Edge backed away and thought there was something wrong with her but as he gazed into the mirror, he saw that his eyes were glowing blue as well, he blinked a few times and saw they were gone, as well were the blue eyes that Ale had. The next morning he told his father about the night, his father said that he is one of the rare snakes in his family to inherit the power of hypnosis by using his eyes. Edge began to practice this anyway he could and all was going well for him. However, one day in his home land, smoke started to appear in the forest and fire quickly spread, his village was in the path of the fire. The fire spread so fast, none of the villagers knew what hit them, but Edge was able to grab Ale and slither away to safety, after the fire settled, it was known to Edge, no one survived, not even his parents. Edge and Ale were all alone now. They started to live a life of peace together away from the ashes of there once happy home. But 2 years later, Ale came down with a strange illness which at the time had no cure. Edge never gave up, he tried everything he could to save his beloved viper. But 3 agonizing, sleepless days later, the illness spread to far into Ale's body and she soon passed. Her last words to Edge were, "Remember...never...forget...me...my...golden python..." before her eyes closed and never opened again. Edge could only look at the body of his now deceased lover, crying his eyes out like a dam bursting. Edge was now all alone, no friends, no family...no love. He wandered the plains of the forests by himself, but as he did, he was exhausted. One night though, a fruit bat flew by and saw Edge curled up on the ground of the forest floor, he grabbed a pear from a tree and held it near his mouth, Edge's tounge flickered and picked up the pears scent, his eyes slowly opened and he saw the bat. The bat helped Edge eat the pear and soon the two became fast friends, promising to look after one another.
Edge continued to practice his hypnosis skills, soon learning after some "personal encounters" that he could use his power to either help the person relax or place them in a trance. As Edge grew though he began to lose control of his emotions if he sees a girl that is very lovely and he can't control what he does. However, Edge knows that one day he will find that girl who will make him happy, just like his beloved viper Ale.

Phew, that was a long one to describe.
