I'l do a proper description later, but for now...I fly ~*EDIT So, this is one of the many casual outfits I have for Arthur. I've been wanting to cosplay him for years and years, but I only got them guts a few months back.
In terms of canon outfits he wore, I plan to do most of them...but Chibirisu first! And then the album cover...and then probably gakuen hetalia (this all depends on getting or not a sewing machine ;O; ) ~
I have around 10 casual outfits based on different times in history for Arthur... obsessed much? (I'm actually just a vintage clothing junkie woot!)

Character: Arthur Kirkland (A period version of Arthur Kirkland...and by period I mean historical...don't get funny ideas ;O; )

If you want to try a hand at cosplay, then my advice is 'go for it!' Truth is, it's always a little hard at the beginning, I advise starting with simpler costumes you can buy a few pieces of, or things you can manage with almost no sewing skills. You'll gradually become better and then sewing and etc will become easier!
If you prefer, you can always buy the costumes, the only problem I see in that is the fact that while hardworking, making a costume yourself makes the process much more fun and rewarding (:
But seriously, I'd love to see your cosplays, and I'm sure you'd have loads of fun because that's what cosplay is mostly about...having lots and lots of fun cosplaying characters you love ;O;
oh and...I'm not that good at sewing myself...I just started doing more complicated stuff and I swear that sometimes it gets furiously frustrating...but in the end I feel so happy about all the work paying off (:
