That pawn tho, doing the impossible, standing on the first row

Nah man, the black square's bottom left. It's standing in the far left square of its starting row.

well done i like how it has such an edge and how the more distant pieces are so much biger then the simple pawn

The perspective, colours and atmosphere of this is amazing.
(This was done in chalk, right?- I find chalk very hard to use (The feel of it is'nt nice))
The shading is also very food

Oh I love this! Reminds me of that moment during a chess game when you've three pieces left to their eight, and your king is clearly stuck in a closing trap, but you're too stubborn to lay it down, so you just keep moving towards the inevitable.

alot of it looks alot like charcoal, was it that or maybe using a dry brush technique with a round brush?

In the Greatest of battles where even the Brave and Highest Fall to the enemies and the Clang and slash of Metal to Steel and Flesh ring out through the Battlefeild, it is sometimes the smallest who can achieve the Greatest of Victories for their size Leaves the enemies of their senses and are overlooked and then they are the ones who shine upon dawns light and cry the loudest upon Victorie's Platform. Cudos, This is an Awsome picture. Faved .
